Raulito’s Açai Bowl
Blended up while listening to Love & The Outcome “These Are The Days”
I had my first açai bowl about 4 years ago, my brother, Raulito, and I were at a Brazilian restaurant in Williamsburg and we fell in love with the rich flavor of açai. Immediately after we ate, I ran to my local market and picked up some frozen packs of açai to make some at home, we loved it but I had not made it since. For one, they’re so popular that I can virtually pick them up anywhere and two, it’s just easy and convenient to buy them instead of making them. That’s what I had convinced myself of until I realized that they’re not that hard to make, like AT ALL. Now while I am not saying that I will never pay for an açai bowl again, I will cut down the frequency at which I buy them, especially since I can make them for a fraction of the cost. Let’s be real guys, I’m trying to save for my future and at close to $10 a pop, that açai bowl budget adds up quick. Cheers to the weekend and to making açai bowls at home!
